((I haven't RPed with you for a while, and I think I'm in a RPing mood, so why not start a new one? c: My character's name is Azuma. His hair is a deep blue at the roots, then fades to white. His eyes are a very vivid green, while his pupils are slitted and colored white. Azuma sports a shark-like tail which he inherited from his mother. His teeth are sharp, and like a shark, he has another row of teeth yet that row is much smaller. He also wears a seashell necklace with magical abilities.))
Azuma was going about his daily business, and before he knew it, a human was sinking past him! He immediately saw that something wasn't right, since it was common knowledge that humans were land dwellers. Panicking, he finally did something that was familiar to him, he opened his mouth and pulled the human inside. He carefully closed his jaws, making sure the human was a safe distance away from his teeth.
Azuma quickly swam up to the surface, trying to ignore the urge to swallow. The human tasted too good for his own good, but the fact that the human was intelligent and had thoughts and feelings like him kept him from doing anything he'd regret. The merman soon broke surface after checking that there was no boats around, and quickly yet carefully spat the human into his awaiting palm. Now that the human wasn't in water, he could definitely feel that the human was heavier than he should've been. Perhaps what he was wearing weighed him down..?
Azuma observed him, now noticing that the human was struggling to take in breath. `Maybe the thing over his face is the problem..?` He thought, before deciding to see if he was right. He carefully took off the oxygen mask that was connected to the tank, letting the little human get fresh air.
Azuma smiled, clearly happy that he had figured it out and that the little guy was okay. However, he heard boat horns going off in the distance. Wanting to remain hidden from the boat that wasn't too far away, he quickly set the human back in his mouth. Closing his jaws and lips together tightly, he secured the air inside so the human could still breath. He dived back underwater, desperately trying to ignore the delicious taste of the person on his tongue.
(Ryker, 23, 78' long, Black tail with dark gray and gold scales scattered about and dark gray fins, light caramel skin, a lean yet powerful build and toned abdominals, black hair, piercing gold eyes, single row of shark-like teeth set similar to a human's teeth.)
The merman took only a moment to realize the situation, swimming up fast to the little human with his jaws wide, snapping him up in an instant. Through closed teeth he expelled the excess water from his mouth and carefully pressed the human against his palate to push out the water from the suit. The merman moved quickly upward to the surface in minutes and took in air through his teeth, not allowing the human any chance to attempt an escape before he was certain the little being wasn't choking on water anymore.
Once the sounds of coughing had stopped and the movements on his tongue had slowed, he slowly opened his mouth and slid the human onto his palm, checking him over carefully and shifting him gently with his fingertips. For now, he at least seemed okay, but the merman didn't want to leave him just yet in case something happened so he laid the human back on his tongue and filled his mouth with air before diving back down. There was a deep-sea cavern that seemed like a good place to take him for now...
Cliff frowned and started for the surface. "Hang in there, little fellow," he said. "How'd you get this far down, anyway? I thought humans couldn't hold their breath long enough..." Of course, he had no idea about your air tank.
A little later, Cliff's head broke the surface, and he held you out of the water. "Don't be dead," he ordered sternly, shaking you a little. "You don't get to die on me, human. That's not an option. Wake up!"
When I get to the surface I head for a small island. It was just a small patch of sand but it would work. I bring the human back up and lay him on the sand. Since the suit seems to be the problem I start taking it off.
